How early did your Rooster start crowing this morning?!

My one roo crowed for the very first time ever this morning at about 6:15. Sounded like : "cock - a - doodle - URK!" Did it three times in a row and had me rolling!!

Mine start before daylight. My black orph fella will crow at midnight if he takes a notion to. But I hardly ever hear them. I'm so used to it I sleep right through it. I have 2 roosters right next to the house. I have guinea on the other side. I'm a light sleeper but normal sounds don't wake me at all. I only notice them if I'm having one of those sleepless nights or i'm rolling over. lol I have 6 roosters and when they get started it gets pretty noisey around here. Then the guinea seem to have to announce when they're going to sleep and waking up. And all day in between.

i heard him crowing at 330am when i was going to work. he usually stops for a while then continues on about 5am.

i have a roo that (like clockwork) starts crowing at 3.15am, every single day. he's a little bantam but ly gosh what a noise! if i didnt live out in the sticks i think id have had to have gotten rid of him a long time ago for fear of upsetting neighbours......i didnt think a roo would crow while its still dark???

That wouldve been my thought too....why? it's dark out!! go to sleep already!! actually my chickens are in my garage hiding out from code enforcment so they hear when any of us get up and moving around in the house...one night my DD decided to do laundry at 1am.....left the garage light on so I hear the silkie Roo going at it at 1.30am arrrrrgh!

Rocky usually starts around 4:30am but he didnt announce to world he was awake til 5:30 after I let them out. I was awake at 4:00 and didnt hear him which doesnt mean anything,he could have crowed before I was awake cuz I sleep like a log and after I was awake as my hearing isnt as it once was.
