how early do you see "rooster behavior"?

    we have 1 week old chicks, ordered as pullets. some are bossier than others....chasing, running, jumping on others. can that be taken as rooster traits or hens act like that, too. are they already establishing a pecking order as "pullets"?

    Hens will run and butt chests with each other, they have a pecking order too, it doesn't nessicarily mean you got a roo in the bunch.
    Just wait and see them develop for certain though.
