Chukar Are True Gamebirds--- Not Like Coturnix. Chukar Bobs And Pheasants Require Lotsa Space Kid.... And No They Arent Nearly As Easy To Raise Or Keep. Eggs Are Edible. The Birds Themselves Are Decent Size--- Say Cornish Game Hen Sized. Quite Tasty Too! They Are Like Bobs In That They Mature And Grow Way Slower Than Coturnix And They Can Mean To Each Other If Not Housed In Appropriate Pens--- But When They Are Mean They Turn Into Peck Monsters And Kill Each Other Like Mad.
Just A Suggestion--- Settle In With Your Coturnix. Get Good At Hatching And Raising Them, Learn How To Care For And Manage Your Flock, Then Slowly Work Your Way Up The Gamebird Ladder--- There's A Big Learning Curve To Gamebirds That Usually Doesnt Apply To Coturnix. These Eggs Are A Bit More Expensive And More Delicate To Incubate--- Practice And Master Cheap And Easy, This Will Give You Experience To Use Later With The Expensive And Hard Stuff! Then As You Can Afford It Work Your Way Up In A Patient Manner--- All Gamebirds Are Truely Beautiful And Amazing In Their Own Individual Ways. And The Facination Of Them Can Be Quite Alluring--- But The Peculularities Of Each Speces Can Make Incubating/ Raising/ Managing A Lil Daunting And I Know Your New To All This--- If Not Done Correctly It Will Be Overwhelming And Very Very Frustrating And Expensive---
