How far should the Coop be

You may also be affected by zoning laws. Here, coops need to be 150' from any dwelling or property line...

Closest out door one is about 15 feet from the front door, often used as a brooder with an extension cord. The furthest one is like 150 feet. Boy, lugging buckets of water 150 feet every day kind of sucks in mid summer or in freezing weather... Glad I didn't put the thing way in the back 800 ft away from the house. That would be a nightmare without hook ups out there.

Mine is a little under 200 ft from the house and no electric in mine either. Would cost 200.00 to have two poles set with light & electric cable and they said I'd have to have a certified electrician put in a breaker box for it...That would put a pinch on the wallet. So like you no electric, they are going to have to huddle I guess.
