How far would you go?

I went to visit my sister and her family, but I also used the trip to buy a W/BW Ameraucana trio and some hatching eggs from Pips&Peeps. It was over 10 hours one way. Totally worth the trip...my wife even carried the hatching eggs on the way home!

I haven't been that far for eggs but when I lived in WV I did drive from southern WV to Menlo GA for a trio of chickens. I cant remember how long that it took

I really can't say how far I would go. I would more than likely turn it into a mini-vacation (road trip!) and travel very far. Just as a side note, I was watching random Youtube videos and saw this one lady pick up over 600 day old chicks and she was driving 5 hours one-way to get them. They haven't created ear plugs good enough for me to do something like that.

We got back late last night with... 8 lemon millefleur sablepoot eggs, 2 lavender araucana eggs, 1 silver laced barnevelder egg and 6 gold spangled appenzeller spitzhauben eggs! OH saw lots of birds he liked LOL I was only going to come back with half a dozen Vorwerks, but they'd stopped laying. So I picked out two araucana eggs and the one barnevelder egg. OH said "Make it half a dozen with the sablepoots, they're nice. Why don't you make it a dozen, even."!!! I couldn't believe it. I quickly ran to tell Gillian to get a bigger box. I'm gutted everything has stopped laying, though. I've ordered some Vorwerk eggs off ebay to make up for it, but can only get six (grrr). Ah well, I'll be hatching first thing next year then!
