I might as well show my Spice Finch a little love (since this thread has morphed into exhibiting the babies), simply so she doesn't feel left out. Since Hoot entered her life, she's warmed up to human interaction. Such a beautifully marked, meek, quiet bird.

Yes, Zebs are affordable AND irresistible.....I'm impressed you had the self control to NOT snatch a pair up on the spot. Here, Owls are far more expensive than Gouldians. He's quickly become my favorite, though, as his personality is reminiscent of that of a Zebra, minus the aggression. Totally worth it.

Fingers crossed you find a stunning Gouldian or two or ten in the not too distant future. ALL of the mutations are gorgeous, but I HAD to go with a normal Red-Headed for starters. He's a living rainbow! Who knows, a Blue or Yellow-Backed might be next.....

The red-headed mutation is my absolute favourite. Also, yes. I'm missing part of an earlobe from the last time I bought budgies still...

Because I knew deep down, and bought them for the sake of spiting you.... Kidding. I bought my Spice finch in March as a companion for the lone baby Zebby I decided to keep out of that month's hatch (she's the photo bomber ). Not terribly expensive, either!
