Before you worry about the niacin addition, you ought to check the requirement with what your feed is providing. Ducks need 55 mg niacin/kg diet (90% dry matter :1994 NRC recommendations). There isn't an age difference in ducks as there is in chickens. For reference, white eggs layers (leghorn type) need 27 mg/kg as chicks, and after 6 weeks it drops to 11 mg/kg. Brown egg layers are aboput 0.7-1 mg less. You need to check what your feed has and then decide if you need to supplement.
