how hard is it REALLY to take care of ducks???

Hard? i wouldn't say hard but takes dedication and one has to do it whether you are tired, ill or just plain past caring that day lol as they depend on us to provide there care.. 100%

Being your young, who is your backup? it's important to always have one. Mine are all penned during the day, so i ensure the pen is cleaned daily, pool cleaned, food and water redone. Then the duckies are moved into there night time housing where i again make sure bedding is fresh, feed and water available.

So obviously not hard but is repetitive.. ducks are pretty messy but i own a ton of animals and have several kids so yeah.. they fit right in

Pets are not disposable. Even if they are used for livestock, it's your responsibility to take care of the animal and see it is humanely dispatched. Turning them lose is as bad as people who lets their dogs run lose through the neighborhood and then act all surprised and hurt when it gets hit by a car. Ummm...what did you think was going to happen?
