It hasn't quite got to 100 here yet, but it's close, and my chickens are definitely feeling the heat. I want to get some Cochins, but I'm not sure if their fluffy-ness will make them less heat resistant?

Mine survived many Southern heat waves with no problem. It's been 98 degrees here for like 10 days, with 70% humidity.

We have had a heat index of 110 here for the past week. My giant cochins have been fine. Just be sure you give them cold water and plenty of shade.

I live in Florida and I've been breeding them for a couple of years. As long as they have shade and cool water they do fine.
