How high should a fence be to keep out predators? I don't care if the birds can get out, but I worry about critters getting in at night. I am asking because someone gave me 4 ft picket fencing that would look nice but I am not sure if it is high enough to keep foxes or other critters out.

a fox can jump over 6 foot,, coyotes bout the same, maybe a little more, bobcats about 10 ft. BUT 4 foot is better then none,, and will at least slow them down for a few seconds.

picket fencing is pretty but not safe for your birds...you need wire or hard ware cloth that will keep a snake rat or racoons arm out of the pen also you need the top wired to keep climbing and flying predators out...Pam
