I live near Brenham . We had a little rain a couple of nights ago....could have used a lot more. Today it was very hot..98 degrees with no sign of rain or wind.

It is so cool here - 60to78 degrees, that I am thankful & happy that I no longer live in the south!!!!

Hot and HUmid here! It's so hot, I'm surprised the hens don't lay pre-cooked eggs!

I have lost about 10 birds due to this heat. I have fresh water, and misters going and it is still too hot. I am really getting bummed out. I lost a 2 month old hen just now. I grabed her and brought her inside and she died in my arms. I absolutely hate this heat.

Mid-80's in the shade but much hotter in the sun. Fortunately we built an elevated henhouse, with trees on both sides, so the girls have plenty of shade (and we keep a tarp over the run too). Plus when it's in the 90's I take them a bowl of ice cubes in the afternoon (spoiled chickies) and by the evening the bowl is bone-dry so I know they appreciate the nice cold water. At least right now it's cool in the evenings but that will change soon. Hang in there everybody!

It hot enough here for me to NOT blow dry my hair today... and I ALWAYS dry my hair.

We had a nice couple days of rain and the temps dropped to the lower 90s and that was nice!! Back to H O T HOT now though! Muggy hot. Just gives us more excuses to head to the river or in the pool
