How hot????

Today here in northern PA the temps will top off in the mid 90s F. I usually let them Rome free during the day but we have to Goto a graduation party in about an hour. I have all the proper ventilation for a nice cross breeze too. The run not so shaded mid day which I have to work on.

Guess the question is are my chickens safe? 6 variety of Bantams and 4 golden comets. I also froze a plastic water bottle and put that in their water. Here is a picture of what I did to the coop.

If you can aim a fan into the coop it would be helpful since it's in full sun.
Also, freeze some veggies in water-- leave it in a dish. It will get them to drink the water and then they get treats!
Cut up watermelon for them as well.
Same heat here in CNY! My girls love their fan!

Ok thanks. I got all the hens in the spring. I am new to chickens lol. They get morning and late afternoon shade. Mid day can be brutal.

Where inCNY are you? I grew up in Canandaigua ny
