This is Bon Bon a French copper maran. His feet have problems. The outside toes on both feet are short and webbed to the primary middle toe that prevented it from straightening which made him walk like he had two fists instead of feet.
Here I wrapped the front one overnight as it didn't have quite the same restriction. I forgot to take a photo of it. But here it is after.
The next day I used a sterile blade to separate the short toes from the middle. Then used antibiotic and cotton around them for a day while it healed. Hardly any blood or discomfort. Like a shallow paper cut. He didn't even pull his feet away in the process.
Then he got the shoes!
Simple pipe cleaners and vet wrap.
They came off today and here we have it:
That last toe will not be helpful so this is as good as he's got it. And he's already running around like crazy!
