I totally get where you are coming from!

Actually, I've always loved birds. But when my wife suggested we get a few hens to keep around for eggs and to share an activity, I got on board. We've been picking them up and holding them from Day One, and I've bonded with Dominique (aka "Nickie"), our Dominique. Original, huh? Anyhow, she's very sweet, clever, and LOVES attention from humans. It may sound silly, but I don't know what I'd do now if we lost her!
