how important are vacinations?

we bought all of our baby chicks from 2 different farmers, neither of the lot has been vacinated. they've never had any problems. should I vacinate them all myself?

Depends on the vaccination. If you were to get any, then get a Marek's. This is a huge killer.

Ummm, Marek's vaccination can only be given very early, I forget, like up to 2 days maybe.

Talk to your county extension agent and ask for recommendations. Usually they do not recommend any for small backyard flocks, but to play it safe, you should find out.
