How important to paint the inside?

I primered and rustoleumed "oil base" a garden swing last spring and it is already going south,so two years out of a combo is crazy impressive.
I do think it surprised me a bit since it sits on the north. It gets that wet thaw some and freeze some snow.

Can I recommend a really good paint?

Or perhaps to save some money..... Look for Behr paint and primer in one for outdoor use. I find all kinds of good colors in the oops section at Home Depot for 9 bucks a gallon. May need two or three coats but saves some cash.

I can agree on looking for oops paint at any store that sells paint. You can save a bundle. I bought a can of oops paint -- Kilz tinted kind of a celery green for approx. $7. I haven't finished painting inside, but is perfect for my "antique" coop that has years of dirt, grime and oils in the old wood.

Okay, I painted the inside! It ended up delaying chicken moving day by a week because it took so long, but it is nice to have it painted. My daughter moved herself and her dolls in, so apparently it is too nice! She said if her dolls are there long enough they claim it and chickens can't have it. No one warned me about doll squatters!

I used a combo primer paint exterior from beher. It is what I used on the framing and I had extra so i didn't spend any money on it.

NICE!

You may need to evict the dolls..... Or move them into a pink and purple condo. :D I bet your daughter wouldn't mind much.

She so very much deserves a cute tree house!

Depending on weather you may need to build it prefab style in the garage with winter so near.

You know one wall at a time! Painting it before assembling will make that part much easier.
