How is apple cider vinegar for chicks? Good to avoid pecking?

I've researched on the internet, and found that apple cider vinegar is good for making Chicks stop peaking each other. Is is true?

I haven't heard of it being used to stop pecking problems, but it does have a number of other benefits.

I have very high ph water (11) that I "treat" by adding vinegar and I have had no problems with poor health or seen any harm from it.
