How is your flock today?

@jwehl How many you have in your flock and what breed?

I swear I keep going to answer this question and stuff keeps popping up. First it was our 3 tame wild squirrels came by. Then we found two dogs on the property that aren't ours. No tags but friendly and ones a pittie so we aren't sure what animal control would do but y'know, having chickens and all, we have to figure something out.

I would have to guess those dogs belong to someone if they are that friendly. I agree, dogs and chickens not a very good combination especial if they are not your dogs.

yeah. gunna call animal control since they don't have tags and we've seen them loose before.

Unfortunate that some people don't take better care of their animals then that, that's how problems start with them running loose.

4 mixed American game/Orpington roosters/cockrells

18 mixed AG/O pullets/hens + 2 American game hens

some peafowl

and a smattering of juvenile chickens & chicks

Very good, spoiled with treats and we got a new rooster a while ago who seems to have skipped the whole nasty teenager stage. He is a sweet, gentle baby who calls the girls to treats and doesn't eat himself until they are bored <3

hes half and half. the main boy of my flock. everyone else came from him.

I just seen this link posted in another thread here in BYC. It's about a human who stole some chicken's from a coop and it was caught on camera. I have a padlock on my coop.
