I have four 7 week old Ameraucanas and all but this one have slate legs with pink bottoms. How late will they change.. or is this blue/splash wheaten baby an EE? 🤔 Also… I’m thinking a cockerel but guesses are welcome.

So pretty!! I would guess an EE... not sure about the gender, but I'm thinking a roo due to how pink the comb is. Could be wrong though🤔

Thanks! This one is so friendly and definitely the biggest of the bunch. His/her legs are THICK, lol.

Ameraucanas are born with slate legs. They don't change colors. It's an Easter Egger, at most. It's kinda hard to tell from your pictures, but it looks like a pullet to me. The comb doesn't seem red, more pale. And the legs seem thinner than those of a cockerel, which usually have thicker legs. It's too young for saddle feathers. That will tell you for sure.

Very good to know - thank you!
