How level does the gound need to be?

Careful, today's birds are sophisticated, they know how to use the Internet, & they will find a law firm if they've been injured by a non-flat chicken run. LOL!

Just adding on to this, I have about a two inch elevation difference over span of 10 feet. The bubble in the level is within the lines (just barely) but not centered. But, is this level enough for a chicken coop and run? I can shim the low end up if needed but would rather not make any openings inviting to small rodents. How level is level enough?

If the base isn't level, everything above will be skewed...the higher you go the more problems you might run into.

OK, will figure out how to raise it then to make it level. Raising it off the ground entirely will just compound my “too small” problems because I only have 7 feet of overhead to work with because of the deck.

I would build that coop 'off site'.... then move it into place.
Them maybe 'level' the whole thing with a few bricks if needed.
