How long after getting laying hens should they start laying again

They look a bit pale to me too. Heres some tips about how to tell...

So the first one is obviously pale, second 2 are the same color, in between.. And 4th is bright and healthy like the rooster. I got him from a different person and have had him longer. These are current pictures

OK, so I messaged the girl I got them from and she says they are 9-10 months old and are actively laying, so I guess I just wait. Helps my worry about them being on the older side, as long as she is being honest.
 
So I just went and checked them and all the same... only 1 finger between the bones 😒. But she just told me they were all between 9 and 10 months 🤔
Maybe they are younger?
That's the best case scenario.
Maybe they are duds?
That's the worst case scenario.
Really impossible to know for sure.
