Do they lay small egss? Day 4 was yesterday and still tiny. (We dont know if our 2 hens are both laying and just alternating days or if its just 1 bird right now. Havent checked this am. Gotta wait til my son is back in about half hour to check since I'm on crutches.)

They can lay pullet eggs for a while. I have some that started laying a couple of months ago, and several are still laying pullet-sized eggs.

If they chickens lay them and you have not medicated the chickens, the eggs should be edible.

Thanks :-) We haven't medicated the girls and hopefully won't have to for anything :-) We did use a few of the eggs yesterday and was surprised to find that THREE of the smallest eggs were double-yolkers!
