how long after the 1st egg can i expect the 2nd one?

My hen layed her first egg today! (black star)

When do they usually lay the next one?

Each hen can lay an egg every 25 hrs. Don't expect that when they first start laying.
My 2 red sexlinks started laying Saturday befor last. Each has layed an egg a day since. One of my rir's or black sexlink has layed 2 eggs since a week ago sunday. another has layed 2 large double yokers

My 16wk leghorn pullet laid her first egg at 16wk 3d, and laid an egg 15 days in a row. Today is day 16, and we didn't get an egg. How disappointing to only see golf balls in the nest box today, but I was surprised at how many days in a row she laid.

My orpington hen laid her first eggs for 3 days in a row then took a day off, now 2 days in a row and counting.
