How long are fresh eggs okay

I occasionally find eggs here and there that I missed the day before or what have you, so just how long are eggs okay to eat once the hen lays it and before it is refridgerated?

Unless the weather is 110F or something similar, the finding of an egg the next day isn't a problem. Sometimes because one is gone for a day or two, eggs collect a bit. There's no problem.

An egg spending one day on the counter is equal to one week in the fridge...also consider that the egge we buy at the supermarlet are almost 6 ,nths old before we get em...so I imagine a egg in the yard for a day or two would be ok...as long as the weather is not extremely hot as stated above
