How long before a broody hen starts to lay again

My Turkey hen was sitting on her first clutch. It's now day 31 with no hatch. I just took her off her nest and took the eggs she was not happy with me at all. I candled the eggs and did the float test. Then broke them open some were not fertalized the rest were quitters.
We have had some very cold temps between -20 to -30 Celsius so I'm assuming that's the reason for the quitters.
As this is my first experience with turkeys I'm wondering how long it usually takes a hen to start laying again.

It is different for every turkey. I had one start laying again one week after hatching her poults but that is unusual.

Because she has been broody, she will need to be bred again in order to once again lay fertile eggs. After having set on the nest for that long she needs high quality feed and oyster shell to regain her strength before she starts to lay again. It will help if you can prevent her from trying to sit on a nest of nothing while she regains her strength.

I doubt that it will take her more than a couple of weeks to a month before she starts laying again. If she had hatched poults, she might have been done laying for the year.

Ok thanks. She's sitting on the empty nest now. I will clean it out and block of the area for a while so she can't get back in there
