we just got a rooster for our flock, mostly for protection. what i dont want to do is open an egg and have a half formed bird fall out. i understand the rooster is bound to mate, and im bound to get fertile eggs. can i put them in the refrigerator to stop development? id hate for the kids to crack one open and get grossed out and refuse eggs haha

thanks.

:welcome There will be no chicks unless the eggs are incubated. Gather them every day, and you will have no problems.
