how long between internal and external pip. help!

my runner duck egg pipped internally at around 12 noon yesterday and still hasnt externally pipped, should i be worried? its not 3:50pm here in the UK aswell

As an average it it usually around 24 hours- but it can be more or less but that doesnt have to mean there is any problems. How is your humidity??

humidity was spot on, i got an external pip when i woke up this morning

22 days and mallard eggs are wiggling already....Early, from what I read....Do I stop turning!! First ducks and an anxious mommie!

i couldnt answer, im a first timer, i would just keep them turning, have they internally pipped yet?

I hatched hundreds- but I am still nervous and excited and check the bator very regularly with every batch of eggs. I have 4 eggs in lockdown right now- two pipped internally.

simpko - Candle and see if you can see the beaks in the airsac. Once that has happened- or day 25 stop turning- but until which ever comes first it is still important for the eggs to be turned. The duckling is large in the shell cavity and continuing to turn will assist to get them in the right position for hatching. Fingers crossed for you you too.
