How long can a chick live after the first pip?

Hello everyone
18 hours ago I noticed a pip on one of the chicken eggs in my incubator, sadly it's l it still hasn't made much progress breaking out of the shell, I'm attaching a photo
It made another attempt 5 hours ago, but didn't do much, just a very small crack

I don't want to lose it so assisted hatching will be my last option.
But I still don't know how many hours I should give it before I can desperately try to assist it. It's day 20
It piped at about day 19.5

24-48 hrs. If you still see movement he’s good. I did lose a chick once who had pipped but that’s because he moved and his beak wasn’t in the hole and I guess it somehow suffocated.

It takes time for the chick to absorb the egg yolk. Assisting is never advised unless 48 hours has passed......Good luck with your hatch!
