IS THIS TRUE? ;

Avian lice, which belong to the suborder Mallophaga, have a life cycle of ~3 weeks and normally feed on feathers or bits of dead skin. Lice may live for several months on the host but remain alive for only ~1 week off the host.

I have an old coop/run that I stopped using 3 weeks ago because my hens had lice and even though I treated it (permethrin spray) I wasnt able to remove all the old bedding from the cracks and spaces between hardware cloth and plywood that was added when remodeling the coop several times (was a prefab originally for chickens but used for ducks, then geese, then chickens)

My chickens have a nice new coop now. My ducks have their own newer bigger coop. so do my geese. BUT I was thinking the OLD coop/run would be a nice rainy day shelter area if I opened it up.
Will all the lice be dead by now?
