My broody somehow got out of the broody pen this morning and couldn't find her way back in. I'd say she'd been off them for 4 hours should I just consider the eggs bad now? She's happily gone back to sit on them but I'm wondering if I should just try and get her some more hatched babies as she'd already been sitting for a week and a half.

They should be fine. One of my Broodies stopped sitting and i put the eggs in an incubator the NEXT DAY and the majority of them hatched. Good luck with your hatch! :jumpy

Depends a lot on how far along they are, but nope. Not a guarantee that they're dead.

Chances are they will be fine. It take quite a long time for the internal temperature to drop a lot. I have had similar situations and had good hatches. Good luck...

Take a couple and candle them and see if you see any movement.

I think I saw movement in one but not entirely sure, the other is impossible to see into as the breeder accidentally gave me a mixed hatch so one is at day 11 and the other is closer to 18. We lost our other eggs due to them being kicked out overnight early on so these were the two survivors.

Don't give up just yet. Are the eggs marked so you know which are the 11 day and which are the 18 day? The 18 day need a hatcher of their own so they can have the proper humidity to hatch. I mark my eggs X for possible quitters or not seemingly viable. You never know. I have had this happen before.
