Hello everyone! So, I thought I had more time before the girls started laying. Turns out I was wrong. I looked in the coop yesterday and found 6 eggs. I don't know how long they have been in there, so I'm not sure whether they are good to eat or not. It has been anywhere from 80-90°F here in Ohio. I think there may be 2 or 3 hens laying. Any insight is greatly appreciated! Thanks for the help!

Do the float test on them.
Put 4 inches of cold water In a flat bottomed pan or bowl.
If the egg lays on its side it's a fresh egg.
If the egg stands on its pointy end it's older BUT may still be good for baking.
If the egg floats to the top it's likely bad and should be discarded.

Seeing as your eggs are probably only a couple days old they should be good. Still do a float test just in case but they should be fine to eat. I collect eggs every couple of days and live in Ohio as well and all our eggs are perfectly fine to eat at the time we collect them.
