Hi everyone,
We are incubating a batch of Columbia Rock X eggs, about a week in right now. I was at work (24 hr shift) and my husband drove into the city to fly out for work the next day - so the house was not occupied after yesterday evening. I returned home today around noon and our furnace was not working. After a quick freak out about no heat in the middle of winter, I realized my husband just forgot to flip the furnace switch back on after fiddling with it. Unfortunately, at this point, the house was down to 54.5 degrees fahrenheit and my incubator was down to 92 (we keep it around 98/99). Taking into account how long it would take the house to cool down, I'm guessing it was below optimal temp for at least 6 hours.
My question is, how long would the incubator have to be that low for it to affect the eggs?
Thanks to any incubator experts out there!
