Hi I'm new to this. I have 3 chicks which I think are about 4 weeks old they are RIR, BR, and Silver Seabright or so I think, the BR seems small and the SS(?) seems big. If you have a different oppinion of their age or breed let me know.
Back to my original question. Currently they are living in a store baught rabbit cage in my kitchen, I have something larger out side if they need it before I finish their permanent coop. We would like to keep them inside in their current situation as long as possible for social reasons (they get so excited when we come in to the kitchen knowing they are going to get some special treat) Basically how much longer can they stay in this brooder and still be comfortable. They do get plenty of out side exercise and play time.

PS It's really hard to take pictures of chickens

THe RIR is definitely an RIR but are you sure it is 4 weeks mine is the same age but seems much more feathered and larger

Thats my concern too. I've had them for 3 weeks got them from feed store. I've been giving them all the chick starter feed they can eat plus all the water they can drink. Is something wrong with them?

Your not doing anything wrong they all look healthy and i've never heard of a brooder stunting growth and mine are in a slightly smaller one just till we finish there little outside area

Ok thanks. I just seemed the BR and even the RIR are small compared to the seabright I thought they are supposed to be larger
