Hi, I've got 4 hens that are 5-6 years old. Only one of them is laying an egg. Is there a general time frame as to how long they'll live after they stop laying? They all seem fine, so I have no reason to suspect that anyone is on death's door. I'm just somewhat curious.
I've got 5 - 33 day old chicks to be able to start getting eggs again, hoping the hatchery sexer did a good job, but scared they didn't and I wound up with 1-2 roos. So I'm sort of trying to do some chicken math in case my chicks aren't all hens.
