How long do chickens live?

Hello... Just wondering... How long do egg laying chickens live and how long do they lay eggs for? Thanks in advance.

Chickens will live anywhere between 6-10 years, though they can live shorter or longer lives depending on how they are cared for. I have heard of chickens stop laying at four years, some chickens will continue to lay for their entire lives but they will decrease in frequency as they get older.
