How long do chickens molt?

All of my chickens are molting and they are too ugly to believe! How long does this cycle last?????

How old are they? My chickens went thru a mini-moult in the 7 to 9 month range. I'm told the first full moult around 18 months will be much worse.
You can try upping their protein intake to help them grow in the new feathers faster. I used scrambled eggs, yogurt, dry cat food (in limited amounts), cheese and black oil sunflower seeds.

I've had some who had an extended molt that lasted months on end. (those never quit laying, or didn't quit for ages). Some molt fast, only taking a month or so.
