How long do eggs stay fertile?

In courtix quail the male died this morning but i wanna try to hatch some of the eggs for how long after will they be fertile or will they be at all?

probaly stay fertile for up to a week but i would stick with just 3-4 days

Chickens and turkeys are fertile for weeks;I don't know quail. But a hen usuallysets how many eggs in her nest 3-4? I'm betting she lays more than that as most clutches are based on a high number of chicks hatching. I would set eggs every 7 days for 3 weeks and know the hatch rate will decrease over the weeks. You will need a hatcher and an incubator to mange the staggered hatches; can you borrow? Or make a hatcher?
