how long do i keep baby chicks inside how many weeks

thinking about getting chicks in march or april. im in maine how long should i keep them in the house before putting them in there own outside pen.

thanks. iv had chicks before but they were hatched in june by my broody hen. she mothered them in the coop. thinking about getting some from a hatchery this time.​

I got tired of my chicks being inside and put them in the outdoor brooder at 3-4 weeks of age. I put the 250 watt heat bulb out there and turned it on only at night. Last night was the first night w/out the light and they are fine. They are 5 weeks old now.

I've got mine in the house right now also but will soon be moving them to a cage I have in a building outside.
