How long do I wait to give new chick to mom? Does it need another baby for company?

My hen already has week old chicks, and due to a mishap with the last two I have decided to keep the new chick separated until it is able to get around good. Any advice as to how long I should wait before putting it out with the others and mom? Also, is it okay that it is by itself, or should I put another baby in with it? Thanks!

you could just sneak it under mom at night she might not notice just keep an eye on them to make sure she excepts it

I took it out for her to see, and she wanted to lay on it with the others, but with the last one, she smothered it accidently so this is why I was worried about it not getting around good yet! I put the smallest of the week olds with it for the night, and will see how it is in the morning.
