How long do i wait until i give up on the fertile eggs? *day 21 today*

Well only 1 chick has hatched so far and unfortuantly it didnt make it and died after a few hours , we have 3 eggs left under our broody but i hear no noise coming from the eggs. Is this ok?
How long should i wait until i give up on them? and what is the latest you've had an egg hatch successfully?
The mom seems quite happy to carry on sitting and waiting, however im not sure whether she may have been the cause of the first chicks death? Is this possible?

Wish I could help....my broodies are sharing a clutch. I'm anxious. I'm curious what others think, but I think the normal gestation is 23 days, so you still have a couple of days (or more?) left....That's good.
