I'm pretty sure I saw this question asked before, but couldn't find the thread. I have a few hens that just started laying little pullet sized eggs, and was wondering how long they continue to lay eggs that size before they get bigger. One of my leghorns has been laying for a couple weeks, and they are still very small, and somewhat random (not nearly every day, sometimes miss 2 or 3 days in a row).

2-3 weeks is what i have experienced with some of my newer birds this year. a couple of the BR's started at the 18 week mark with tiny eggs, and now they're laying nice full-sized eggs.
