How Long Do They Lay

How old is a chicken when she stops laying eggs. I remember my Mom saying her hens were too old to lay.

I have 5 older than 3 and still getting a couple eggs a week! hope that helps

They usually don't stop... just slow down so much it is like they stop. Their first two years is the best with a slight decline from that point on.
