How long do they live?

How long do chicken live? And how long do they produce eggs?

I heard inside pet chickens can live for 15 years! But i dont know about outside chickens or how much that differs. I believe they lay for 6 years.

They can live to be around 15. They will lay good for 2-3 years then their egg laying will go down hill from there.
