How long do you continue to give chicks water with electrolytes?

I read that it would be harmful to healthy chickens. So I think it is only given to chickens who have diarrhea or when it is too hot outside.

I have never used past the first day of receipt, if then. I do use sugar water in their first container of water to give them a boost of energy. And I never use either with chicks hatched by a hen because they do just fine with mom showing them the way.
