How long do you let your eggs rest when they have been shipped to you?

I've let mine sit for most of the day after they arrive too, but I decided to turn the turner on from the first this time instead of waiting a day because the turner puts off a lot of heat and can make the temps swing quite bit while you readjust. Mybe this isn't a problem with the HB I just bought because the thermostat is so much more accurate, but with my LG even the slightest changes around the bator could make the temps really dip and soar and then you have to mess with the temps constantly. (and even the tiniest turn of the knob can make two- or three degree changes).

I just let mine rest in the pantry where I keep my bator because my cats and dog don't have access to it, so it's safe, and it stays about 60 degrees. Other people keep them at a warmer temp. As long as the room is reasonably cool, but not really cold, they should be fine since it's only going to be for a few hours. I usually pull them out of the bubble wrap, candle, then set them aside to rest. That evening I put them in the bator.

The temp is usually room temp. It is just to avoid having your eggs sweat from extreme temp changes. If they go from a cool 50 to the bator at 100 +/- condensation forms and the moisture can compromise your hatch. Ever leave eggs from the fridge on the counter? They get very wet (at least mine do)
