How long do you sit infront if the TV?

We got rid of the dish over a year ago so only thing we watch are movies Saturday family night and on rainy days rest of time is on computer reading or outside the kids watch some of the tv shows on the computer so they really don't miss it.

We turned off the cable about 1 1/2 years ago. We have select DVDs for my 3 yr old to watch and got an antenna/adapter so that we can get PBS Kids. The TV never leaves that station and is only turned on for about 1 hour an evening.

The DVDs run a good bit during the day but it is mostly background noise. I do not watch it.

Very little. Addictively enough most of my free time is spent here.

Turned cable off about a year and a half ago
The only TV shows we watch (online) are Glee (about to end for the season) and Desperate Housewives (which just came to an end for the season) During the summer I watch True Blood. Hmm I know there is something else..
Other than that we might watch a movie at night

No more really than 0-2 hrs a day more if I have to fold laundry.

Fortunately, not at all. In my lifetime, (35 years) I've had a tv in the home maybe 5 of those years. It didn't serve me, so I've made a request that my husband and I not get one. So far, it's wonderful. We've been together 10 years, and the one time we tried the tv, it was mayhem. Neither of us has the self-control to shut the dang thing off. We fight over what to watch, we get upset at each other for watching when the other wants quiet time, you name it. We just have decided its not worth the trouble. If we really want to watch a program, we'll catch it on youtube or rent it from netflix.

I don't watch it much...sometimes I'll sit down and watch some TV while eating dinner. Maybe 3-4 hours of TV in 7 days? Now the computer is a different story....LOL!
