Hey guys, I have 8 eggs incubating. I believe it is the 18th day today. I am not sure as my hen went broody and decided to stop incubating the eggs. So, here I am trying to see if they will hatch. Well I got one egg that has piped and I want to know how long they last like that. The baby chick inside calls out and I can feel movement when I grab the egg. At first I was worried that something is wrong and is taking too long to come out but I googled it and it says it depends on each how long it takes. Anyway, the egg piped yesterday around 10 pm (well I found out it piped around 10:30 pm. 1st pic was yesterday when I first found it. 2nd pic was today around 3:00 pm. Is it taking too long or is that normal? Please let me know. I am getting a bit anxious about this.

24 hours is considered normal, I had one go 60 and be fine, just give. Time, though it is hard to wait!
Thank you! You were right. I had to wait just a bit longer. It hatched well, I didn't need to help it, which I thought I needed to help it but I am soo happy that it was able to hatch naturally!
