How long does an egg take to go bad? (explode)

I was candling eggs and one may have had a blood ring, it still have veins , but maybe not as many as my other eggs. it's day 4, how long until it would possibly hurt the other eggs? temp is a steady 100, forced air hovabator 1588.

Wow your temp is right at max as 99.5 is ideal so I just have to ask about your humidity ??

Day 4 and you have a blood ring but have veins and the egg shell has no blemishes of any kind I think another week wont hurt the other eggs ...


So did you receive these eggs in the mail or from your yard ..... ??

There are no obvious blemishes .

24 are mine, 3 a local. Humidity has been about 35% because many of the shells are brown eggs, 3 maran and 5 wellsummer. Though I may raise it up depending on the day 10 candle. Ronott1 and Sally sunshine have been advising me.

Expoders happen from bacteria inside the egg, not regular bloodrings or quitters... if it doesn't stink, it should be fine... but if any egg starts stinking, pull it, don't leave it...

Mine started smelling around day 14, imagine the exploding comes some time after that so you should be fine to leave them till day 9-10. It's really hard to be sure when new to it so I don't even touch mine to candle till around day 10 because I know I'm only going to leave it anyway as I wouldn't be sure it's no good any earlier.

You will know it's off because the smell will hit you as soon as you open the incubator to add water etc. a quick sniff of the eggs quickly finds the culprit.

I incubated mine at 99.5

I think a few more days wont hurt anything right now but if you start getting any order from the egg then toss but to get an egg to explode will take some time something around 3 to 4 weeks .....
