How long does integration take?

You need more space, IMO.
Coop is barely big enough for the 4, winter may be tough, let alone adding 2 more.
How did you add them?

:goodpost:

Integration is one of the situations that takes more space above and beyond the suggested minimums and you're trying to put 6 birds into a coop barely big enough for 5 -- assuming that those measurements are the actual open floor space and don't include the nestboxes or space occupied by feeders, waterers, etc.

I have 3 food stations and two waters in the run, as well as roosts and objects for privacy. I will add a 2’x4’ raised platform to maximize space as much as possible. Inside the coup there are two roosts, one 47” long other 39, and I altered so each now same height. There are two 12x15” nest boxes, I’ll change top of them to be horizontal so they may use that space. Right now it’s angled to keep them off the top. There is lots of light in the coup, my windows have slots for plexiglass to seal in cooler weather. Thank you all for the insights. Here’s pic.

If a hen is in the run, she can see every other chicken 100% of the time. That can really make it tough.

Not only is it important to have more than one feeder, but one needs to place so that when a bird eating at one, they cannot see who is eating at the other.

Setting up some walls, platforms and roosts in the run would help. Cardboard or pallets, ladders, saw horses... chairs, all can make use of the third dimension height.

Update: everyone getting along well! It got better each week, and I’d say by the sixth or seventh week they were all a unit, sticking together when outside their run in the yard. The two newbies still best friends but they are definitely integrated. Now I know it can be done.
That's wonderful news! Glad it's going well, thanks for the update!
