In the incubator mine never really do. I pretty much always get at least half of the set eggs to hatching so chicks are consistently hatching which raises the humidity and then the hatched chicks can't really dry. I don't dare to lower the humidity because the other hatching chicks need it.
I wait until we get 8-10 chicks in the incubator then we move them. They're usually still wet but they get moved to a toasty warm brooder and they always live. We then wait for the nest 8-10 chicks or for the end of the hatch before we move any more.
